SOC (Security Operations Center)

Role Overview
As a SOC (Security Operations Center) Analyst at Alykas, you will play a critical role in safeguarding client environments by proactively monitoring, detecting, investigating, and responding to cybersecurity threats.
You will work with advanced security technologies across on-premises and cloud infrastructures to identify risks, contain incidents, and strengthen overall security posture. This position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to perform effectively in high-pressure situations.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts and events using SIEM and EDR platforms.
- Investigate suspicious activities, review logs, and assess threat impact.
- Respond to security incidents including malware, phishing, ransomware, and unauthorized access attempts.
- Escalate complex or high-risk incidents to senior security engineers when required.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and support remediation planning.
- Maintain accurate incident documentation and reporting.
- Collaborate with IT and cloud teams to implement security improvements and best practices.
- Assist with compliance requirements, audits, and security framework alignment.
- Participate in continuous security monitoring and improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- 3–5 years of experience in cybersecurity, threat monitoring, or SOC operations (Managed Services experience preferred).
- Strong understanding of networking fundamentals, firewalls, IDS/IPS, endpoint security, and cloud security concepts.
- Hands-on experience with SIEM platforms (e.g., Microsoft Sentinel, Splunk, QRadar) and EDR solutions.
- Familiarity with threat intelligence feeds, the MITRE ATT&CK framework, and incident response processes.
- Ability to analyze and correlate security events across multiple systems.
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
- Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CEH, CySA+, or equivalent are preferred.

Role Overview
The Senior Microsoft & Cloud Engineer will lead the design, administration, and optimization of secure Microsoft and cloud environments for enterprise clients. This role acts as a senior escalation point for complex cloud, identity, and infrastructure challenges while driving cloud governance, Zero Trust security, and operational excellence.
The ideal candidate brings deep, hands-on expertise in Microsoft 365, Azure, and/or AWS, thrives in multi-tenant or MSP environments, and demonstrates strong technical leadership, security awareness, and exceptional communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Leadership & Escalation
- Serve as Tier 3 escalation for advanced Microsoft 365, Azure, and cloud incidents.
- Lead root cause analysis and remediation for high-impact security or infrastructure events.
- Mentor and support Tier 1 and Tier 2 engineers.
- Participate in architectural reviews, risk assessments, and change advisory processes.
Secure Cloud Infrastructure Management
- Architect, deploy, and manage secure Azure and/or AWS environments.
- Administer virtual networks, VPNs, firewalls, and hybrid connectivity solutions.
- Design and maintain high-availability, backup, and disaster recovery strategies.
- Optimize cloud performance, cost efficiency, and security posture.
Microsoft 365 & Endpoint Security
- Oversee Microsoft 365 tenant configuration, governance, and compliance.
- Support Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, and Intune environments.
- Lead Microsoft 365 tenant migrations and hybrid identity deployments.
- Implement security baselines and compliance controls across workloads.
Identity & Zero Trust Security
- Design and troubleshoot Azure AD / Entra ID environments.
- Configure Conditional Access, MFA, Identity Protection, and Privileged Identity
- Management (PIM).
- Support Zero Trust architecture initiatives.
- Conduct identity and security posture reviews and recommend remediation.
Automation, Documentation & Continuous Improvement
- Develop and maintain detailed documentation, runbooks, and SOPs.
- Automate administrative tasks using PowerShell or scripting tools.
- Contribute to internal knowledge base and operational maturity initiatives.
- Support cybersecurity programs aligned with industry best practices.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 and Azure administration.
- Strong experience managing Azure and/or AWS cloud deployments.
- MSP or multi-tenant experience highly preferred.
- Strong networking knowledge: DNS, routing, firewalls, VPNs.
- Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills.
- Security-first mindset with strong attention to detail.
